This blog is written for the purpose of learning purposes only, it's not in partnership or being sponsored by any of the telecommunication companies.  Anyway let's start like this, iknow many people can be having their mobile phones  be it button, smart phone under Categories of Android, IOS etc , the topic cuts across today on how you can really utilize any of the lines if either MTN or Airtel when being squeeze by some hardships of bankruptcy, No airtime, No data for online serfing or when lacking airtime completely.

Then again our topic shall cover the differences in between Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Gaga Bundles, and Unlimited Offers these companies may offer. okay am not trying to say that this one or that one could be  better than the other only , iam trying to notify someone whom may be having their phones , yet they are not updated by either friends, the same Related Telecommunication Mobile Agents etc .

Okay let's explore the checking balance USSD Codes . both MTN & Airtel uses *131# , so this will display your available data bundles left, number of SMS available and other Airtime Balance or Extra Balance you have. MTN calls it extraTime while Airtel similar service is called Beerako.

How to borrow MTN extraTime , you dial *146# , but if you already have unsettled balance, you will see options 1 for Balance, Options 2 for status and Options 3 for History. okay sometimes you may dial *146# and they will tell you, your not yet eligible to get extraTime, so it may means that your Sim card is still new or your not frequently buying data, Airtime or even sending Money . But anyway all these differs for all customers according to their own geographic Territories mapped by these telecommunication companies. Okay how to settle MTN ExtraTime fees, it's deducted automatically from the available Airtime Balance loaded.

Airtel Beerako is also similar to MTN extraTime, but here the codes are many depending on which you shall prefer,
So they have *100*1*7# .

Buying SMS Bundles On MTN , dial *165*2*7# , then choose either for your number or other Number. or *160*2*4# then follow other procedures.

Buying SMS Bundles on AIRTEL, dial *100*1*3# then follow other prompts or dial *185*2*2# then wait for the main Menu , then select options 1 for Voice/SMS, then Options 3 for SMS bundles then follow other prompts of 1 to Airtel or options 2 to all networks meaning you can send that SMS to all Networks etc and you continue from their.

Ok let's look at Buying Airtime Using MTN personal  Line (Momo Account) not agent line, dial *165*2*1# then follow other prompts.

Buying Airtime Using Airtel Mobile Line , dial *185*2*1#.

Buying MTN Data , dial *165*2*3# for internet bundles or *165*2*4# for Unlimited bundles or *165*2*5# for special bundles then *265*2*6# for WakaNet , note this is when your using or having money under your mobile Money or when using Airtime you can dial *150*1# , or just *150# and continue from their.

Now you can also call Using your Airtime minus buying data of which you shall be charged per zone rate , you can also dial *150*1*5*1# for direct internet usage on your Airtime Balance directly or send sms directly using your Airtime Balance. Almost each SMS charge on each sent is equivalent to 65UGX per one SMS sent.

Let's handle buying data from Airtel UG, dial *100*2# then select your preferred options.

Buying Minutes In MTN, dial *160*1# or *160*21# or *165*2*2# etc.

Buying Minutes In Airtel, dial *100*1*1#

Before we have gone far let's first handle Major USSD  Codes that MTN and Airtel shares and will give you similar services.
Okay we have *131# , *100#, *165# and to call the all the service customer care helpline are all Using 100 .

okay let's see how to check your number from MTN , dial *135# then how to check your number from Airtel , dial *120#.

MTN me2u is simply sending Airtime to a friend or another Registered Line of MTN , please this is only for learning purposes  not given to I'll intentions . dial *160*5#

Airtel Me2U , dial *100*1*5#

Borrowing Money from MTN dial *165*5# and check other options whether you are eligible .

Borrowing Money from Airtel To your Mobile Money Account, dial *185*8# then follow your prompt preferable options.

Note: to pay back the borrowed amount also you need to first deposit money to your account by using mobile Money agents or you can send from MTN to MTN (*165*1# or Airtel to MTN *185*1# ) and select critically to avoid sending money to hanging on air.

Okay mostly if the money is sent to MTN from MTN is okay, From Airtel to MTN is okay and Vice versa, but imean when sending money, at times you may select eg thinking you are sending to MTN options, then you select Airtel options etc . anyway Money always comes back after 24 hrs to your mobile Money account but without the Withdrawal charges already deducted during time for sending.

Before ihave completed , allow me tell you that for your own personal issues and explanations, feel free to check on customer service lines by calling 100 .

Lastly, if you have sent money to a wrong number mistakenly, from MTN to MTN then dial *165*8*7# but from MTN to a wrong Airtel Number, please call the customer service immediately to block the money or call Airtel service providers or call that person, the chances depends on your luck etc. for Airtel dial *185*10# then options 8 , then follow prompts.

if you need to activate international Bundles, then dial *160*2*6# for MTN or dial *100*5# for Airtel. etc

Remember iwould have posted more than 500 different codes based on my user experience, only for time saving you can check *141# on MTN or when calling the person and you have no credit, on MTN then call the person then before ending the call, tap on 1, or dial *160*6*6# then follow prompts .
