Bebe Cool Announces Release of New Single, ‘Circumference’

Ugandan music icon Bebe Cool is gearing up to treat fans with an early Christmas gift as he announces the release of ‘Circumference’, the first single off his highly anticipated album, Break The Chains. The announcement was made on Monday evening during a press conference held at Next Media Park in Naguru. Circumference is set to drop this Friday, December 13, and will be available on major music streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Boomplay, and Audiomack. The track was produced by Nigerian hitmaker PhilKeyz, known for his work with artists like Kizz Daniel on hits such as Lie and Cough. According to Bebe Cool, Circumferenceblends the vibrant energy of Afrobeats with a unique sound aimed at elevating Ugandan music to a global stage. Speaking at the event, Bebe Cool expressed his passion for pushing musical boundaries. If anyone is out there asking, ‘Why now?!’ Let me make this very clear: I’ve got nothing to prove. Not politically. Not culturally. Not financially. And certainly not musically,” he said.“I’m doing this purely because I love it. I have challenged myself to push boundaries with a new sound and professionalism that sets the bar where it should be.”The award-winning artist also took the opportunity to address the state of Uganda’s music industry, which has faced criticism for a lack of creativity this year. He vowed to set new standards with his upcoming album."This is an exciting time for the Ugandan music industry, because I’m here to set a new standard of what it means to be an African music legend,” he declared. Bebe Cool’s Break The Chains album marks a bold new chapter in his career, much like his groundbreaking Go Mamaalbum, where he experimented with genres like soft rock and ska. Fans can expect Circumference to offer a glimpse into the innovative direction he is taking. To ensure fans don’t miss the release, Bebe Cool announced that a scannable QR code to pre-save or pre-add the track to playlists will be available on his official social media pages.
